Congratulations to Mrs. Patricia Stanford’s twenty first year of teaching 1st grade.

Mrs. Stanford’s  students participated in her annual reading contest and the 2007 class achieved the 2nd highest books read since 1988. The total books read were 5,711 in 2007 and the highest was in 1988 were students read 5,993 books.

Many of the students read over 400 books in 2007. The 2007 top reader was Jacob Kennedy, he read 1,045 books. Outstanding!

In Mrs. Stanford's twenty one years of having a reading contest in her 1st grade class Jacob ranked 4th out of all her students. Great Job Jacob! Hip Hip Hooray!
