Parade Day

CONGRATULATIONS

Labor Day Parade

This past Monday, St. Louis Catholic School entered the Louisville Labor Day Parade and was awarded 1st place. The theme of the parade was “Pioneering the West, Louisville celebrates 125 years.” The dancers dressed as coal miners and danced to “Workin’ in a Coal Mine” by Devo.

This was the 5th year we have taken 1st place. I thank all the dancers, walkers and parents who help pull this all together. I cannot do it without you all.

The previous years’ themes were:

2006 “Rumble in the Jungle” We had a jungle float and danced in leopard print to a song from “The Jungle Book 2.”

2005 “Fun in the Sun” Our 100 Year Anniversary! The girls were in old-fashioned bathing suits dancing to “Wipe Out” and the boys were lifeguards.

2004 “Movie Madness” We did a Shrek theme and our float was a castle. The dancers were gingerbread men and the song was from Shrek.

2003 “Thanks for the Memories” We had an old school house complete with antique desks and the dancers did a Charleston.
